Even in my dreams, you were there. It was a love affair that could only end in two ways; death or salvation. I had chosen salvation. However I found myself wondering what exactly was so important in life that led me to that decision. Who’s to say the discipline of letting go and staying sober was worth the pain that I now faced every passing moment, a pain that had once been cured by my addiction to you
Although I go through the notions, close my eyes and tell my body it’s time to sleep; there is no rest for the wicked. I try to shake your hold on me but there’s no denying I love you like I always had. It took such a conscience effort to not allow my mind to go to that place, I knew that place all too well. It was a cold, lonely, empty place; but you made it seem so inviting, and I could always count on you to be there waiting for me to come back, like you knew it would happen sooner or later. As hard as I tried to leave it in the past, I found you around every corner I encountered. There you were, always finding a way into my mind, into my body, into my heart.
Although I had tried to rid myself of it, through cleansing my mind and soul, through escaping the chains that had such a tight grasp on me, I couldn’t help but feel defeated. I felt defeated because there was not a passing moment where I didn’t feel like something was missing, and not just any something. I had chosen to give up the one thing that had always loved me back. Something of enough substance to finally fill the emptiness that hollowed out my heart and ate away at my stomach. Something that somehow managed to make the weight I carry with me a little less heavy.
Now I don’t wanna sound repetitive, but drugs are where my mentality is. Tryna take some initiative, but all I know is this drug business. This money business, this funny business, this turn your friends into enemies business.

Thinkin I’ll never do that, but growin up no one does. Until your stuck, lookin in the mirror; like I cant believe what I’ve become. Swore I was gonna be someone, but growin up everyone always does. We sell our dreams and our potential to escape through that buzz.

I used to be really into this whole tumblr thing, and I had a lot of really awesome followers that would reblog and like my posts all the time. I haven’t updated this thing in a while, I got kind of lost for a while out there, but I think I finally found some solid ground. I need a creative outlet really badly, so hopefully getting back to this blog will help. I hope some of you take the time to read this and end up following my blog, thanks!!
